What restaurants will be visited on the tour?

Because we believe that half the fun lies in the anticipation and the surprise, we do not divulge destinations in advance.  We will visit 2 to 3 resorts and average 2 to 3 restaurants at each resort.  With a reputation to defend on showcasing the best dishes in town, we refuse to visit anything that is mediocre.  Throughout this unique experience, our guides will share culinary insights and fun facts that can only come from the perspective of a local.

Are the tours worthwhile for Las Vegas locals?

Absolutely.  In fact, many Lip Smacking Foodie Tour attendees live right here in Las Vegas.  Our tours are designed to showcase hidden culinary gems and to savor buzzed-about dishes, which in some cases may be renowned, but rarely sampled all in one evening.  We make a point to introduce locals to culinary treasures in their own backyard that they wouldn’t otherwise know about.  Locals especially enjoy taking our tours when celebrating a special occasion or when friends from out of town are visiting.

What types of foods are served on the tour?

You will feast on only the best signature dishes at carefully selected top-rated restaurants that have built their reputation on having one of the most-sought-after bites in town.  Our tastings include dishes ranging from appetizers to entrées and desserts, which all together will comprise a complete meal.  Additionally, the amount of food consumed is spread over 2 to 3 hours so you should feel comfortably full, not painfully stuffed.

Are beverages served on the tours?

Water is served at all locations.  We offer a beverage package during the checkout process that includes a pre-selected signature drink at various stops.  Alcohol or other additional beverages not included on the tour may also be purchased separately for your own consumption.  We recommend purchasing our beverage package to alleviate any waits so that your beverage will be available to enjoy upon arrival.

Are you able to accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies and vegetarian options?

Please inform us in advance if any members of your party have food allergies or dietary restrictions during the checkout process at the time of booking.  Be sure to let your tour guide know, too, when you arrive.  We will do our best to make appropriate substitutions whenever possible, but we cannot guarantee them.  If your dietary restrictions are extensive and cover multiple food categories, you might consider a private customized tour instead.

How long do the tours take?

Tours generally last 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the route, with ample time to enjoy every dish.  If you are planning to attend a show or event afterward, we recommend you allow plenty of time to get to it.  Our tours move at a moderate pace with participants standing and walking between stops and all of our destinations offer seats.  Please inform us in advance if any members of your party have physical restrictions or limitations (wheelchair, trouble walking, etc.) that we should be aware of.  If walking at a moderate pace is too strenuous, you might consider booking a private, customized tour better adapted to your needs.

How do I book a private or custom tour?

Private tours are available both on the Strip, Downtown and off-the-beaten path.  Want an all-dessert or a steakhouse tour or looking to explore in larger groups with cocktails included?  We can create exactly that.  In fact, we often escort chefs and restaurateurs around to do menu research or show them what’s new and worth checking out.  With ample time and information, we can design a guided itinerary honed to your exact specifications that is sure to please.  A personalized tour is also just the ticket for guests who have specific dietary needs such as vegan, no-carb or gluten-free. Do Lip Smacking Foodie Tour tickets have to be purchased in advance? Can I pay with cash?

Tickets must be purchased in advance with a Visa, Discover, AMEX or MasterCard through our secure website.  Cash is not accepted.  Most of our tours sell out.  We recommend purchasing tickets before you arrive in Las Vegas to guarantee the day, time and number of tickets you desire.  We have limited space and a limited number of tours.  Available tickets are offered up to three hours before the tour start time.

Can I get a refund, reschedule, or transfer my ticket?

Once purchased, tickets are nonrefundable and tours may not be rescheduled.  Likewise, there are no reschedules or refunds for latecomers.  Tickets, however, are transferable to another guest.

Where does each tour start and end?

Each tour begins at a specific location on the Las Vegas Strip or Downtown, depending on the tour.  You are responsible for transportation to the meeting location.  The tours do not finish at the exact same place where they began, but within a couple blocks of the meeting location.  Detailed instructions with meeting location are provided after you purchase your tickets.  Your tour guide will be happy to assist with any other directions needed at the end of the tour.

When is the best time to take the tour?

We highly recommend taking a Lip Smacking Foodie Tour at the beginning of your visit.  This allows you the greatest opportunity to put to use all the information received about the local dining, cocktail and entertainment scenes.  Plus, you may want to revisit in greater depth your favorite locations from the tour.  We also send our guests off with additional restaurant and cocktail recommendations to make your stay perfect.

Do Lip Smacking Tours operate everyday?

What type of clothing/shoes should I wear, and what happens if it rains?

Tours are held regardless of weather and we do a fair amount of walking.  You should dress appropriately for the day’s weather conditions and wear comfortable walking shoes.  We also suggest bringing a camera.  We are thrilled when tour guests take photos and send them to us, post to our Facebook Page and tag us on Instagram @LipSmackingFoodie

Are children welcome and do they need tickets?

Our tours are not geared toward young children who may not have the patience or stamina for a 3-hour dining experience.  However older children who appreciate great food may enjoy taking the tour.  All guests must purchase a ticket whether they participate in the food tastings or not.  Non-paying individuals will not be able to join the tour.  No exceptions will be made.  No discounted tickets are offered for children or seniors.  Please remember that tickets are non-refundable.

Is gratuity included in the price?

Yes, the customary gratuity in Las Vegas is 15% to 20%, and a tip is included at every destination.  Gratuities direct to your tour guide are always greatly appreciated, but never mandatory.

Can I shop during the tour?

We ask that you please wait to do your shopping until after the tour so we can stay on schedule.

Are bathrooms available during the tour?

Yes, bathrooms are available throughout resorts and restaurants.  We urge you to use the restroom before the tour begins.

Are gift certificates available?

Yes.  A Lip Smacking Foodie Tour is the perfect gift for someone living in, or visiting, Las Vegas.  It’s ideal for a special occasion or just to say thank you! Are tours offered only in English?

At this time, we only offer tours only in English.  Please email us if you would like to make arrangements for your own interpreter to join the tour.  If you are interested in a tour in a different language, we may be able to accommodate requests with advance notice.
